Those of you who are a stranger to the ways of facebook will have missed this post:

FC Kolektivo Victoria

FIRST EVER LEAGUE CAMPAIGN

Monday 28th November will be a momentous occasion, as FC Kolektivo Victoria play their very first league match at the home of football – St Margaret’s Pastures 3G pitch 2.

The opponents are the little known ‘The Abbey’, whose reputation for training in dark corners of society has ensured that even the FCKV scouts have been unable to track them down. Kick-off time is 7.40pm.

Full match report (with Pravda style spin that will ensure that even a 9-0 defeat will look good) to follow. Forza FCKV!

Cast your mind back to February this, they came up to visit us to find out about the Cowboys & Cowgirls so that they can do something. Well, it appears they have. Good luck to them and all who sail in them.

The next Cowgirls football meeting is taking place in the Sunshine room at Easton Community Centre on Tuesday 26th Jan, 7 – 8.30pm. We’ll be discussing plans for training, PRO 5/GOALS league, team kit, this year’s tournaments and loads more so please come along if you can.

The Cowgirls beat Bristol Panthers 10-0

The Cricket 3rd Team were rained off.

The Cricket 1st team were rained off.

The Cricket 2nd team lost to Claverham (Yatton) 3rd team by 3 wickets. The Cowboys hit 124 for 8, Neil hit 59. Claverham got them in 26.4 overs losing 7 wickets. Stratto bowled 6-1-26-2, Dean bowled 4.4-0-26-3.

In Stuttgart the Cowboys reached the quarter finals. No one has told me where the Cowgirls got to.

The Cowgirls lost to The Beer Factory 0-15.

The Cricket 3rd Team lost to Keynsham 3rd Team by 6 wickets. The Cowboys hit 178 with Ev hitting 51 and Gary hitting 36. Keynsham got them with only 3 balls to spare and rather unsportingly fielded a ringer who, in his first game of the season, hit 90. Garner bowled 8-2-26-1.

The registration for the football tournament at the Mondiali Antirazzisti 2009 will start on the 20th of April.

The tournament is Wednesday, 08 July 2009 – Sunday, 12 July 2009.

Simon Denny is getting married to Nell in Northumberland next month. To mark this event there will be a party at The Plough on Friday 28th November 2008 from 10pm until later. There will be music from John E.Vistic and Slide Hambridge followed by DJs Moylan and the boy Denny himself.
